EZ Card and Kiosk, a financial services company serving the jail industry, was in
need of a self service kiosk application for the purpose of facilitating bails and
commissary loads to inmates incarcerated in jails across the United States. The
majority of jails today are still using archaic methods of cash handling that are
extremely time consuming and error prone. We developed a solution to offload all
of the jails cash handling to a kiosk and also allow for the acceptance of credit
cards both at the kiosk and online. Our self service kiosk solution allows a family
member to walk into the jail's lobby and use a self service kiosk to load money
on an inmate's account which they can then use to purchase commissary or post bail.
The self service kiosk accepts both cash and credit card payments and then prints

EZ Inmate Release Kiosk and Website
The EZ Release service allows the user to bail out an inmate with cash or credit
from a self service kiosk at the jail or online from the EZ website www.ezonlinebail.com. The newly booked inmate can also go
to the booking room kiosk and use his/her credit or debit card to post bail. Family
members can use the lobby kiosk to post bail for an inmate or use the secure website
to post bail from the comfort of their own home. When the credit card is authorized
or the cash has been inserted the kiosk will print a wallet sized receipt as proof
of the bail transaction. The jail can then use the real-time reports on the website
to verify the bail transaction before releasing the inmate.

EZ Inmate Money Load Kiosk and Website
The EZ Money Load service allows the user to load inmate trust funds with cash or
credit from a self service kiosk at the jail or online from the EZ website www.ezmoneyload.com. Upon visiting a jail, family members
can replenish an inmate's trust account by utilizing one of the EZ Money Load self
service kiosks available in the jail lobby or use the secure website to do the same
from the comfort of their own home. In many jails a family member can only use cash
or a money order that must be handled and accounted for by a jail staff person.
The EZ self service kiosk counts and vaults the cash for the jail so they don't
have to. When the credit card is authorized or the cash has been inserted the kiosk
will print a wallet sized receipt as proof of the money load transaction. The jail

EZ Inmate Booking Kiosk
The EZ Inmate Booking Kiosk allows the arresting officer to deposit cash and coin
from newly arrested inmates and the kiosk automatically counts and vaults the money.
Booking a new inmate into the jail currently requires all monies to be counted and
recounted several times which is tedious and error prone. With EZ's booking kiosk,
the arresting officer will deposit all of the new inmate's cash and coin into the
booking kiosk once and all of the manual counting and money handling is eliminated.
The kiosk will print out a wallet sized receipt with the total amount deposited
into the kiosk which will then be inserted in the inmate's property bag. At this
point the jail personnel can load the inmate's funds into the jail's inmate accounting
software. The jail can use the real-time reports on the website to verify the booking
transaction. In many cases the inmate has the option to send a text message through
the kiosk to let someone know they were arrested.
